May 16, 2018

A new report about public diplomacy called Optimizing Engagement: Research, Evaluation, and Learning in Public Diplomacy has been published recently. This initiative was led by the U.S. Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy (ACPD), which is part of the U.S Department of State. The report contains research from 28 different case studies, with assessments on public diplomacy practices from 17 countries.

The goal of this report was to measure and design effective public engagement efforts. The report analyzes which practices work best by identifying key gaps and areas in public diplomacy programs. In addition, the report also contains a set of tactics and recommendations on how research and assessment efforts regarding U.S government public diplomacy efforts can be improved.

Natalia Burlinova, head of PICREADI Team, as one of two experts from Russia, participated in the report.
