  • The Palgrave Macmillan published a collective monograph "Russian Public Diplomacy: Evolution and Practice". The executive editors of the new monograph are a researcher at the International Organizations and Global Political Regulation Sector of IMEMO RAS, a lecturer in PICREADI Course of Public Diplomacy Anna A. Velikaya, and Greg Simons, an associate professor at Uppsala University, Institute of Russian and Eurasian Studies.
The paper analyzes various aspects of Russian public diplomacy (scientific, cultural, social, economic, etc). The monograph reveals the historical background of Russian public diplomacy development; the assessment of Russia's steps to form a positive image of the country abroad is also given. Additionally, some regional areas of Russian public diplomacy are considered specifically (Baltic Sea region, Latin America and the Middle East). The group of the authors of the book were university professors, employees of academic institutions and international organizations. The foreword to the collective monograph was written by the famous international scientist, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation A.D. Bogaturov.

The monograph, which is the first English-language work to systematize the Russian approach to public diplomacy, is intended for the political and expert community, the media, and also for the general reader.
